Piet was born and raised in a small town near Antwerp, Belgium. Although photography was the family’s bread and butter, he chose to pursue movie directing at the Belgian National Film School. It wasn’t long before he discovered that his true passion lay in lighting and lensing stories.

Soon after graduating, Piet began shooting music videos and documentaries, traveling the world in the process. Since 2014, he has worked on commercials for major brands across Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, and more. He also became a member of the Trinity family in Germany.

In 2024, Piet completed his first television series, The Big Fuck Up, which tells the story of the Belgian Military Police in 1982.

Piet lives in Bazel, Belgium, with his wife Tess and their two daughters, Sue and Pam.
